Pear, Walnut and Fig Baked Oats

Time: Approx 40 minutes


  • 80g rolled oats

  • 1 large or 2 small pears, grated

  • 3-4 figs, halved

  • 200ml milk of choice

  • 20g walnut halves, ground

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C (fan).

  2. Mix the oats, grated pears, baking powder, walnuts and milk in a medium casserole dish.

  3. Gently push the figs into the mixture.

  4. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.

  5. Can be eaten straight from the oven or allow to cool first and eat cold later or the following day.

  6. Serve with some yoghurt of choice.
