Carrot Cake Porridge

Time: 5 minutes


  • 40g whole rolled oats

  • 200ml milk of choice (adjust dependant on how thick you like your porridge)

  • 40g carrot (approx. 1 small or 1/2 medium), grated 

  • 6 walnut halves (approx. 15g), ground or chopped into smaller pieces

  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice (or to taste)

  • 30g raisins or sultanas

  • A large spoon of yoghurt of your choice


  1. Place the oats, carrot, nuts, milk, sultanas and spice into a small saucepan.

  2. Slowly bring to the boil, then simmer for about 5 minutes or until the oats are nice and soft.

  3. Stir through the yoghurt and serve.
